As an Associate Veterinarian, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the hospital, extending beyond traditional clinical duties. You will help shape hospital culture, uphold care standards, and deliver an exceptional client-patient experience.
Schedule:
4 days per week
No on-call responsibilities
Compensation:
$130,000 – $160,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
Competitive base + commission/production structure
Sign-on bonus eligible
Relocation reimbursement eligible
Key Responsibilities Include:
Patient Management
Perform physical exams, diagnostics, medical, surgical, and dental procedures
Deliver high-quality care while minimising stress and discomfort
Provide compassionate euthanasia when appropriate
Recommend referral to specialists when beneficial
Continually pursue professional growth through CE and study
Client Management
Build strong rapport through compassionate, clear communication
Obtain thorough medical histories and explain exam findings
Present treatment plans, fee estimates, and prognoses
Provide preventative care guidance and home-care instructions
Maintain proactive follow-up communication
Administrative Excellence
Maintain thorough SOAP medical records
Ensure compliance with surgical, narcotics, radiology, and laboratory logs
Accurately charge for services rendered
Support marketing and community engagement initiatives
Team Leadership
Foster cooperation and mutual respect
Provide clear clinical direction to technicians and support staff
Assist with mentoring and education
Model professionalism, empathy, and an “owner mentality”
We’re seeking a veterinarian who:
Holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree (or equivalent)
Is licensed (or able to obtain licensure) in Washington State
Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
Brings a clinical interest or specialty (or desire to pursue one)
Values long-term relationships with clients and the local community
Embodies resilience, adaptability, empathy, and trust
Both experienced DVMs and strong recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
