
Our client is launching a brand-new, purpose-built emergency and referral hospital in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor, designed to deliver high-quality emergency and critical care services to a rapidly growing community.
The hospital will operate within a unique integrated service model, bringing together general practice, emergency, and referral services under one collaborative network. This approach allows clinicians to work closely across disciplines, providing continuity of care for patients while creating a highly supportive clinical environment
The modern facility has been designed specifically for emergency workflows, featuring efficient triage systems, advanced diagnostics, and well-equipped treatment areas to ensure emergency patients receive timely and effective care.
You’ll be supported by experienced emergency nurses and a collaborative clinical team, along with access to a broader veterinary network offering clinical guidance, education, and professional development opportunities.
We are seeking Emergency Veterinarians.
This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new emergency service while working within a modern hospital designed specifically for emergency and critical care. The role offers exposure to a diverse and rewarding emergency caseload, providing care when patients and clients need it most.
Flexible opportunities are available including full-time, part-time, and casual positions, with shifts primarily covering overnights, weekends, and public holidays, when emergency services are most needed.
This role would suit both experienced ECC veterinarians and general practitioners looking to transition into emergency medicine, with strong clinical support and structured training available.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent qualification registrable in Victoria
Be confident managing emergency cases, including sole-charge situations supported by experienced ECC nurses
Have excellent communication and client care skills
Demonstrate a calm, team-focused approach in fast-paced clinical environments
Be passionate about delivering high standards of emergency and critical care
Veterinarians with an interest in developing their emergency skills and advancing their ECC career are strongly encouraged to apply.

Competitive salary package of $150,000 – $220,000 (pro rata depending on experience)
