Founded in 2021, this pioneering veterinary hospital was the first in Scandinavia to offer dedicated emergency and specialist services. Since then, they have grown from a close-knit team of 20 to over 70 talented professionals, including specialists in surgery, oncology, and internal medicine, emergency vets, interns, technicians, and dedicated support staff. They proudly operate one of the few hospitals in the region to provide specialist and emergency care exclusively, available 24/7.
Their ethos is simple — they collaborate, not compete, working as an extension of the local family vets. They are committed to building a healthy, positive workplace, offering wellness initiatives such as free fitness training and support from a certified psychologist for staff.
The hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a 128-slice CT scanner, fluoroscopy, advanced ultrasound, minimally invasive surgical equipment, an extensive range of endoscopes, a diode laser unit, and a fully equipped physiotherapy department with water treadmill and laser therapy. Their in-house lab is staffed by dedicated laboratory technicians, and their imaging department is supported by radiologists and ultrasonographers.
This position is for a board-certified or residency-trained Specialist in Internal Medicine, available as either a permanent role or a temporary locum placement (minimum four months). You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary specialist team with access to advanced equipment and the freedom to innovate in your clinical approach.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to their non-profit outreach branch, which extends their mission to improve animal and human lives globally. This role offers the chance to bring your expertise to a team where ideas are valued, collaboration is central, and your work will make an impact both locally and internationally.
You are an experienced internist, board-certified or residency-trained (ECVIM/ACVIM), who thrives in a dynamic, high-performing environment. You are passionate about applying new research, techniques, and innovations in veterinary medicine, and you share the hospital’s core values of innovation, quality, and dedication to animal healthcare and welfare. You enjoy being part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
The hospital is based in a vibrant Scandinavian city that blends a lively urban atmosphere with stunning natural surroundings. The area offers outstanding cultural, culinary, and recreational opportunities, with short commutes and an exceptional quality of life — ideal for professionals seeking both career fulfillment and a balanced lifestyle.
A permanent or locum position within a state-of-the-art, staff-owned emergency and specialist hospital. Flexible working schedule (three to four days per week). Opportunities for career growth, including the potential for partnership. A flat hierarchy with quick decision-making and an open, supportive culture. The opportunity to contribute to global outreach initiatives. A workplace that genuinely values wellbeing, diversity, and inclusivity.
