
This is a newly developed, privately owned, independent multi-disciplinary referral and emergency hospital designed to deliver gold-standard patient care while prioritising clinician wellbeing. The hospital supports a large, collaborative team of over 250 professionals across a wide range of specialty services, including surgery, internal medicine, critical care, neurology, oncology, dermatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, rehabilitation, and emergency services.
Facilities include multiple operating theatres, a dedicated ICU, advanced imaging suites, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, rehabilitation centre, and a pain clinic. Significant investment has been made into advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities, including high-field MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, and advanced life-support systems.

This position is ideal for a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist looking to work within a highly advanced and collaborative referral environment.
You will:
Join an established internal medicine service alongside experienced specialists
Manage a diverse and complex caseload, including gastrointestinal, endocrine, hepatobiliary, immune-mediated, and multisystem diseases
Work closely with surgery, neurology, critical care, dermatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and emergency teams
Utilise advanced diagnostics including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory capabilities
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, hospital rounds, and protocol development
Contribute to teaching and mentoring interns, RVTs, and colleagues
Practise high-quality, thorough medicine within a supportive and well-resourced environment

In addition to your veterinary qualifications, we are looking for someone who brings:
Board certification (ACVIM / ECVIM) or residency-trained, board-eligible status in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Eligibility for licensure with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO)
A strong interest in complex internal medicine and case management
A collaborative, team-focused approach to referral medicine
Excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients
A passion for teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
