As Veterinary Team Leader (ECC), you will:
Provide clinical leadership across emergency and critical care services
Support, mentor, and develop a team of ECC veterinarians and nurses
Help establish clinical standards, workflows, and protocols
Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Balance hands-on clinical responsibilities with dedicated leadership and team development time
Contribute to the growth and direction of a newly established service
This role is ideal for a confident ECC clinician looking to take the next step into leadership while remaining clinically active.
In addition to your veterinary qualifications, we are looking for someone who brings:
Experience in emergency and critical care medicine
Proven or emerging leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development
Confidence in clinical decision-making, including sole-charge scenarios
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative, team-first mindset
Commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
Eligibility for veterinary registration in Victoria (BVSc, DVM, or equivalent)
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to building and improving services

Salary of $200,000 – $250,000 depending on experience and leadership scope
