This is a senior clinical leadership position suited to an experienced Emergency Veterinarian or board-certified Specialist who is ready to lead, mentor, and shape the future of a busy emergency and specialty service.
You will be responsible for leading and developing the veterinarian team, overseeing medical standards, and ensuring exceptional delivery of both clinical services and client experience. The role blends clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring clinicians, advising on best-practice workflows, improving efficiency, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
You will play a key role in strengthening relationships with referring veterinarians, supporting medical quality assurance, and driving innovation across clinical policies and procedures. Dedicated administrative time is built into the schedule to support your leadership responsibilities.
In addition to your veterinary qualifications, we are looking for someone who brings:
DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
Texas veterinary license or ability to obtain one
Background in emergency medicine and/or board certification in a relevant specialty (ECC, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Radiology, etc.)
Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a high-volume clinical or referral environment
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire clinical teams
Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
A forward-thinking, improvement-focused mindset
Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and building strong professional relationships
