
This is a newly developed, privately owned, independent multi-disciplinary referral and emergency hospital designed to deliver gold-standard patient care while prioritising clinician wellbeing. This position is ideal for a Veterinary Ophthalmologist looking to join an established service within a highly advanced referral environment.
You will:
Join an existing ophthalmology team, managing a varied caseload of medical and surgical ophthalmic cases
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Manage predominantly small animal cases, with opportunities to be involved in equine cases if desired
Utilise advanced diagnostic tools and imaging modalities to support clinical decision-making
Contribute to case discussions, rounds, and collaborative care planning
Support and mentor interns, technicians, and colleagues
Play an active role in maintaining and developing ophthalmology services within the hospital

In addition to your veterinary qualifications, we are looking for someone who brings:
Board certification (ACVO / ECVO) or residency-trained, board-eligible status
Eligibility for licensure with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO)
Strong clinical experience in ophthalmic diagnostics and procedures
A collaborative and team-focused approach to referral medicine
Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and clients
A passion for ophthalmology and advancing patient care
Interest in teaching and mentoring interns, RVTs, and colleagues
