This purpose-built, privately owned specialist and 24-hour emergency hospital is located in beautiful, sunny Sydney, Australia. In addition to its flagship referral centre, the group also delivers a mobile specialist service supporting referring veterinarians across the Greater Sydney region.
The hospital is home to more than 180 passionate professionals, including specialists in oncology, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and emergency and critical care, with further sub-specialties continuing to develop. A large, well-established emergency department is supported by 17 experienced emergency veterinarians, allowing specialists to focus on referral-level medicine within a truly collaborative environment.
Culture is a defining strength of this hospital. Leadership is fiercely committed to supporting its people and ensuring specialists have the staffing, equipment, and resources they need to excel. The philosophy is simple: let specialists do specialist work, while empowering nurses, interns, and support staff to shine. Requests for additional resources are met with trust and action.
The hospital maintains an excellent nurse-to-specialist ratio of approximately 2–3 nurses per specialist, supported by interns and residents. A dedicated intensive care unit is currently in place, with a brand-new ICU nearing completion, featuring integrated Menios ICU beds and Servo-U ventilators with high-flow oxygen capability.
