UK – Medical Oncology Specialist – ECVIM + ACVIM

This internationally renowned specialist veterinary centre is recognised for excellence in oncology, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and interventional radiology. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including four operating theatres, a 160-slice CT scanner with injector pump, a C-arm fluoroscopy unit, a cell-salvage autotransfusion unit, intra-operative imaging with Near-InfraRed Fluorescence (NIRF), an interventional radiology suite, minimally invasive surgical equipment, a full suite of endoscopy and cystoscopy tools, two chemotherapy rooms plus a hood room, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), digital radiography, and a complete in-house laboratory.

This position is for a Medical Oncologist (ECVIM/ACVIM) to join a highly collaborative, specialist-led team. Reporting to the Clinical Director, you will play an integral role in developing the medical oncology service and working closely with specialists across multiple disciplines.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity, including responsibility for establishing and directing a Medical Oncology Residency programme (ECVIM (Oncology) or ACVIM (Oncology)). You will be central to delivering the highest standards of patient care, supporting clients, and ensuring a harmonious and high-performing clinical team.

You will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of specialists (ACVS (Fellow, Surg Onc) / ECVS / ACVIM (Onc) / ECVIM (Onc, Int Med) / ECVDI), oncology residents, interns, nurses, and veterinary care assistants. A strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and clinical excellence is essential.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified (ACVIM or ECVIM), or residency-trained/board-eligible in oncology. You are a motivated and organised professional, flexible in approach to support the needs of a dynamic clinical team. You are confident in mentoring, supervising, and supporting colleagues across all levels while remaining dedicated to clinical excellence, client satisfaction, and advancing standards of veterinary oncology.
