Veterinary Oncology Specialist, Sweden. (ECVIM/ACVIM)

We are seeking a Veterinary Oncology Specialist to join the specialist team on a permanent basis. Full-time is preferred, though part-time or locum arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for delivering high-level oncologic care to referral patients, working closely with colleagues in surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, emergency & critical care, and nursing. The role offers the opportunity to shape and further develop the oncology service within a hospital that genuinely supports specialist-led medicine.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Management of medical oncology cases, including diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning

• Delivery and supervision of chemotherapy protocols and immunotherapy where appropriate

• Collaboration with surgical and interventional teams for multimodal cancer treatment

• Interpretation of advanced diagnostic imaging and pathology results

• Oversight of oncology inpatients and outpatient treatment pathways

• Providing clear, compassionate communication to clients during emotionally challenging times

• Supporting and mentoring interns, residents, nurses, and emergency clinicians

• Contributing to clinical discussions, service development, and ongoing improvement initiatives

You will be supported by an experienced nursing team, dedicated ICU facilities, and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic infrastructure.

• Board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncology Specialist
  (ACVIM, ECVIM, or ANZCVS Oncology)

• Strong grounding in medical oncology with a collaborative, patient-focused approach

• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence

• Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary referral environment

• Enthusiastic about service development, knowledge sharing, and team mentorship

• Adaptable, open-minded, and aligned with a values-driven workplace culture
